What are quantum hypnotherapy, QHHT® and BQH? 

Quantum healing and hypnotherapy. Quantum healing is profoundly powerful and life-changing energy medicine. It makes the miraculous common, because the limitless powers of divine consciousness, the quantum field and the multiverse are strategically tapped into for your healing and expansion. Quantum healing addresses the causes of illness or imbalance at the root, and can activate your vast inner wisdom and self-healing abilities. Each of us has access to these powerful, creative forces all of the time, but it can be hard to access them using the conscious mind. Hypnosis is the safe and gentle art of shifting your consciousness from your daily ‘awake’ state to one of deep relaxation, where you can connect and communicate with these higher levels of consciousness, receive answers to your questions, and receive and integrate potent healings and energetic upgrades from the divine. Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT)®. The Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT)® was developed by Dolores Cannon as a technique to communicate with a client's sub-conscious mind (which she called the SC). This level of consciousness accessed through QHHT® - where the SC/Higher Self meets the Divine - is a source of all knowing and profound healing. Beyond Quantum Healing (BQH). Beyond Quantum Healing (BQH) was developed by Candace Craw-Goldman, who studied with Dolores Cannon for years. She developed BQH as a flexible and heart-centered approach to quantum healing hypnosis. As Ellen practices BQH, it follows a similar choreography as QHHT®, connecting to the same Higher Self and Light Beings. An advantage of BQH is that it is adapted for online/remote sessions, unlike QHHT® sessions which are always conducted in person. Both are equally safe and effective. Why should I do a quantum hypnotherapy session with Ellen Mathys?

Ellen is certified in QHHT®, BQH, Past Life Regression, Life Between Lives Regression, and Hypnotherapy. Because Ellen is also a Shaman, Evidential Medium and Energy Healer, she will communicate with your Higher Self, Spirit Guides and Angels about what is divinely intended to come through for you in your experience. Ellen can integrate mediumship, cowrie shell divination, shamanic rituals, Reiki, and/or other modalities into your quantum hypnotherapy session, based upon what will bring clarity, personal healing and ancestral lineage healing for you at this time. It is always your Higher Self (with support from your Guides and Angels) that chooses the experiences you have during a quantum hypnotherapy session. Ellen is the facilitator who supports the unfolding of that experience. For these reasons, quantum hypnotherapy sessions are highly personalized. Ellen has done all of these for clients in their sessions:

  • Past life regression - visiting past lives on earth as humans or non-humans, and visiting past lives on other planets

How does a quantum hypnotherapy session with Ellen typically work?

Whether you choose to do your quantum hypnotherapy session in-person in Atlanta or online, your sessions will probably be 4+ hours in length. Sessions begin with an initial discussion about your life, which helps Ellen to get to know you. After that discussion, you and Ellen will talk about the questions that you have for your Higher Self, and any physical, emotional, mental or spiritual healing that you are looking for. The hypnosis phase follows. Ellen will guide you safely into a gentle state of deep relaxation. You will have some sort of experience, which may be a past life regression, or may be something else (as selected by your Higher Self). When you are sufficiently relaxed, contact will be made with your Higher Self. Ellen will ask your Higher Self all of the questions that you brought, and request healing from the Spirit Realms. Once all of that is complete, you will be guided back to waking consciousness. A brief conversation at the end will support your integration of the experience. You will receive a recording of your past life regression and the consultation with the Higher Self/Light Beings to listen to later at your convenience. You may receive more healing and insights every time you listen to it. 

How can I prepare for my quantum hypnotherapy session? 

The following are a few ways you might prepare for your session: 

Set your intention. The most important way in which you can prepare for your quantum hypnotherapy session is to begin thinking about your intentions for the session. The most important aspect of your intention is that you want to have clear and direct communication with that part of you - your Higher Self - that is able to provide the information and healing you seek. All of the answers you seek are within you, at the level of your Higher Self. A great intention is "I have clear, direct and easy communication with my Higher Self." You may also set more specific intentions for outcomes of the session, such as:

  • “I understand the energetic root causes of my health challenges and I have help and guidance on resolving them.”

  • “I understand lifelong patterns in relationships and I have help and guidance on bringing more love, harmony and personal empowerment into my life.” 

  • “I know my life’s purpose and have clear strategies for how to live in full alignment with it.” 

  • “I understand more about my soul’s journey and origin, and my soul’s spiritual path.”

 Develop your questions. Typically people come to the session with 5-15 questions, but that is a guideline, not a hard and fast rule. The questions can be cosmic ("When will humanity ascend?") to life-focused and broad ("what is my life purpose?") to highly specific ("what should I do about the kitchen renovation?"). They can focus on the past, the present or the future. Generally it is best to keep your topics related to your personal life, especially in areas where you are seeking answers, resolution or peace. Common questions relate to how to improve one's health, find a better job, reduce stress or tension in interpersonal relationships, and find one's life purpose. It is a good idea to begin the process of writing up your questions as soon as you book your quantum hypnotherapy session. This will give time for them to evolve, and some questions may even answer themselves before your session. 

Meditate to quiet the mind. Meditation is a powerful tool to quiet the conscious mind and help you prepare for your quantum hypnotherapy session. Even meditating just 10-20 minutes daily can make a huge difference in your ability to enter a deep state during your session. Music, soundscapes and guided meditations can all be helpful. The free app Insight Timer offers many wonderful recordings to support your meditation.   

Tune into your imagination and power of visualization. The Higher Self speaks through imagination. Please understand that when you receive information from your Higher Self, it may feel like you “imagined” it but that does not mean you made it up. Once you understand that the Higher Self and Spirit will communicate to you through your imagination, you learn to pay attention to what arises in the imagination, and inquire when it is from your Higher Self and Spirit. So enjoy your imagination and visualization. Imagine things in juicy and evocative detail. If you “see” things in the mind’s eye, see them in detail. Even people who worry they aren’t visual can visualize their house, car and family – otherwise how else would they recognize them? In addition to seeing things, you can feel, sense and know things too. So welcome all of those ways of getting information from your Higher Self and Spirit.

Take gentle care of your body. People tend to have better experiences if they minimize alcohol and caffeine consumption in the 12-24 hours before the session. Drink lots of water. If you're a regular morning coffee drinker, don't skip the morning coffee, but try to go easy on it. Light exercise will help clear the mind and allow you to better enter a state of deep relaxation and hypnosis during the session. 

Try to let go of expectations. You can set your intention for the session, but don’t hold too closely to expectations for how it will unfold. Your Higher Self knows what’s in your highest alignment for your conscious self and your spirit. Trust the divine consciousness that led you to book the session. 

Once the hypnosis starts, remember these three key tips. Three key tips will help ensure the session is a beautifully successful one.

  • Tip 1: When Ellen asks you a question, answer it with the first thing that comes to mind. The first thing that comes to mind is most often from the Higher Self. The Higher Self speaks before the conscious mind can observe, judge and chatter away.

  • Tip 2: When Ellen asks you to “see” something, try to see it in your imagination with as much detail as you can. If it’s a red bird, what kind of bird is it? How big is it? Does it have other markings? Is it making any sounds? What is it doing? Etc.

  • Tip 3: When Ellen asks you a question, talk a lot with as much detail as you can, without thinking consciously or logically too much. Just let the words flow.

Are there additional considerations for online sessions?

If you book an online session, the session will be held via Zoom. You will need a headset or earbuds with microphone attached for good audio quality. Please practice using Zoom before the session if you're not familiar with it. You will be seated for the discussion phase of the session, and reclining or lying down for the hypnosis phase. Make sure there won’t be interruptions, like family members or pets wanting your attention. Once you book your session, Ellen is happy to answer any questions about how to prepare for your session to make it a successful one.

How does it feel to be hypnotized? What if I can't be hypnotized?

It is a common misconception that if someone remains awake and aware during their hypnosis session, the hypnosis didn’t work. Some clients are interested in quantum hypnotherapy but due to past experiences not going as expected, they believe they “can’t be hypnotized.” Hypnosis is a natural brain state. It is essentially a deep state of relaxation. We enter into the theta state of hypnosis every time we fall asleep and wake up. We also enter into a light trance state (alpha brain waves) whenever we “zone out” or “get into a flow state”, like when you’re driving and lose track of time, or doing a hobby you love and become totally engrossed in it. Each of us enters a hypnotic state repeatedly, every single day. A small number of hypnosis clients enter a “somnambulistic” state where they’re not consciously aware of what their Higher Self is saying through them. But the large majority of clients remain awake and aware throughout the session, but their conscious mind has softened enough to allow the Higher Self to come through. The Higher Consciousness guiding this work increasingly wants to keep clients at least somewhat awake and aware during their session, so they can sense how it feels to bring their powerful Higher Selves into daily consciousness – which we will increasingly do as part of humanity’s ascension.

There is no right or wrong way to experience hypnosis. Most clients enter a state of relaxation which becomes deeper and more relaxed over the course of the hypnosis experience. You may feel that you are still consciously present while your Higher Self comes through. Many clients report that they could “hear” what their Higher Self was saying, but it sounded like it was coming from the next room, or like it was on a podcast. You may even experience (if you’re a somnambulist) that your consciousness leaves the body and goes somewhere fun (Paris! Cairo!) while your Higher Self speaks through your body. Any of these is perfect. It will happen the way it is meant to happen for you, because it is your Higher Self that decides how it happens. And as said above, meditation and nurturing your visualization and imagination will quiet the logical mind and allow the Higher Self to come through easily.

What can I expect after my session?

You may feel enlivened and relaxed, and maybe a bit drowsy, as if you have gone on a wonderful adventure. If you are able, plan to take the rest of the day off from work. You may wish to engage in self-care and/or spend time in nature after your session. Good grounding strategies are visualizing your roots going into the earth, eating healthy food, touching the earth or a tree with bare feet, using grounding rocks/crystals (e.g., moss agate, tree agate), taking a salt bath, and using essential oils (e.g., lavender, sandalwood, cedarwood, frankincense, myrrh, patchouli). Do what feels comfortable and aligned for you. You may listen to the session recording as soon as you are home (not when you’re driving, because it might induce a mild hypnotic effect!). Please don’t delay downloading the recording if you wish to. Ellen deletes all recordings on her end within a week of the session, to protect client privacy.
